You’re still not going to see Sia’s face in her new promo for Saturday Night Live, but that doesn’t mean the singer doesn’t get in on the jokes.
The pop singer appears alongside host Kevin Hart and cast member Kate McKinnon in the new promo for the show, which returns after its holiday break this weekend, Jan. 17.

Hart and McKinnon have a good time with Sia’s name, which lends itself to quite a few puns, in the bit. “Sia then,” McKinnon says. “Sia later,” Hart adds. And when McKinnon asks if Sia herself wants “to get in on this,” she’s perfectly candid: “I do,” she says, her smile keeping through her black-veiled face.
She adds in some thumbs up and tyrannosaurus rex hands as the bit wears on.
Sia isn’t present in the other promos; rather, it’s Hart and McKinnon, who riff on the comedian claiming that the show will be the best one of 2015, even though, as McKinnon adds, it’s also the first. Tall order.
It’ll be Sia’s first appearance on the show. Earlier this season, her video for “Chandelier” was lampooned by the show, with McKinnon and host Jim Carrey showing up to a costume party both dressed as Maddie Ziegler, who stars in the clip. The only way to decide whose costume is better is via a danceoff, which musical guest Iggy Azalea even got in on.
