Sia has released her new single “Alive,” from her forthcoming album This Is Acting.

“I was born in a thunderstorm,” the track begins “I grew up overnight, I played alone, I’m playing on my own, I survived.”
The anthemic track was originally intended for Adele, one can imagine the final product might have been very different.
“Alive” was written by Sia, Adele and Tobias Jesso, Jr. and was produced by Jesse Shatkin, who also co-wrote and co-produced Sia’s Grammy nominated hit song “Chandelier.”
