Sia’s got a new song and a hit list of who she wants to sing it, too. The “Diamonds” and “Wild One” songwriter took the unusual step of revealing to an Australian radio station (via NME) where she hoped her latest work would land.
“I’m trying to pitch that to Maroon 5 or Bruno Mars. It’s called ‘Step By Step,'” Sia said.
Sia also revealed she’s got an entire new album for herself ready to go, title and all.

“I’m super productive. I have a full album ready to go and it’s much more pop,” Sia said. “I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go in thinking ‘this is something I would say.’ It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”
And she touched on why she released her last album, although she doesn’t seem to want to be famous or show her face in public.
“I was planning to be a pop song writer for other artists,” Sia explained. “But my publishing deal was as an artist so I had to put one more album out. I didn’t want to get famous so I kept all the songs I wanted and had a lot of fun making it.”
Sia dropped a new video today, for her single “Fire Meets Gasoline,” starring Heidi Klum.
