There are all kinds of parallels between Sia and Bleachers, between the fact that both artists released landmark albums within a week of each other last July and they’re both outliers in pop who kicked around the industry for a while before breaking through.
Now there’s one more connection between the two parties: they’ve finally worked together, sort of.
Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff has given Sia’s “Big Girls Cry” new experimental synth-heavy life. The fun. member reworked Sia’s track for her upcoming collection of remixes, due out April 28.

“Absolutely no one has a voice like Sia’s,” Antonoff told The FADER. “Not just her literal voice, which comes from some deep guttural place I can only begin to imagine, but her storytelling voice. She manages to capture this very specific pain, and her images are so unusual and perfect. I just loved working on this.”
